At Gemeente Dronten, there is a great challenge: the team of Spatial Development works on complex and long-term files, while capacity is limited. Your expertise is needed to take up this task professionally and promptly. Think about projects such as the development of a new residential area and the large-scale issue surrounding housing for migrant workers. These are initiatives that are politically sensitive and where interests must be carefully weighed.
As Environmental Law Advisor, you are the legal hub in these processes. You advise colleagues and the Board of Aldermen on complex issues, handles permit applications, and guides procedures. You ensure that decisions are legally sound and that the process runs smoothly. In doing so, you work closely with other lawyers within the organization: from VTH to legal affairs and land law. Together, you ensure an integrated approach.
Your role is multifaceted:

• You delve into files where multiple disciplines come together and your legal perspective is decisive.
• You participate in project teams and are a sparring partner for project leaders.
• You keep the team sharp on new legislation and regulations and actively share knowledge.
• You handle complex appeals procedures and prepare official documents.

This is a temporary assignment where you make an immediate impact. You work independently, but never alone: you are part of a committed team that works together to create a future-proof Dronten.
