Junior System Engineer Microsoft 365 and Automation (m/f/d)

Full-time with 40 hours per week | permanent | available immediately

We are looking for support from a Junior System Engineer Microsoft 365 and Automation (m/f/d) for our Hamburg location as soon as possible. You will support the operation, further development, and automation of our Microsoft 365, Azure, and identity environments.

You will be involved in the administration of our Microsoft 365 platform as well as hybrid identity and directory services. You will assist in analyzing and automating manual processes, support technical projects, and gradually develop into the point of contact for complex system, synchronization, and authorization issues.

• Support in the administration and further development of Microsoft 365, Azure and Entra ID as well as hybrid identity and directory services
• Participation in synchronization, user management and authorizations as well as in the implementation and maintenance of MFA and Conditional Access policies
• Administration of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policies
• Support in the administration of the Exchange infrastructure – On-Premises and Online – including mail flow, connectors and migrations
• Analysis of manual processes as well as implementation and documentation of initial automations with PowerShell, Microsoft Graph and REST APIs
• Development and maintenance of scripts and workflows for user creation, user changes and user departures as well as support for interface integrations
• Analysis and resolution of synchronization, authentication and authorization issues as well as support in 2nd and 3rd level support
• Participation in IT projects and migrations, collaboration with internal stakeholders and external service providers, as well as maintenance of technical documentation

• Initial practical experience in the administration of Microsoft 365, Azure or Entra ID
• Basic knowledge of Active Directory, hybrid identity environments and Exchange
• Good PowerShell skills as well as interest in automation and ideally initial experience with Microsoft Graph and REST APIs
• Interest in planning and executing IT and migration projects
• Initial experience in analyzing and resolving synchronization, authentication, and authorization issues
• Ideally, knowledge of Exchange On-Premises and hybrid Exchange scenarios, as well as SQL, LDAP, PKI or other programming languages
• Willingness to learn as well as an independent, structured, and solution-oriented way of working with strong communication skills
• Very good German language skills in spoken and written form, at least at C1 level or equivalent, ensuring reliable internal communication; initial experience in Incident, Change, and Problem Management according to ITIL is an advantage
