Job description
“Your next step in IT starts where people and technology connect.”
Are you visible to clients, energized by Microsoft 365, Intune, and workplace management, and do you enjoy truly helping users?
As a Junior System Engineer, you are the technical and personal point of contact for our clients on-site. You ensure that users can work comfortably and that their modern work environment is well managed. This is not a role where you spend the whole week working on tickets remotely. You will spend most of your working days at our clients' locations. This allows you to truly get to know the organization, the users, and their IT environment. You see what's happening, solve problems, and identify improvements before they become bigger issues. You are not alone in this. You are part of a dedicated client team and work closely with your colleagues within that team and with the Service Desk. You don't need to be the specialist for every technical question yourself. Precisely because you are part of a client team, you know when you can solve something yourself and when you need to involve a colleague or specialist.
Your role as a Junior System Engineer:
You will be involved in, among other things:
Supporting users with questions and disruptions;
Managing Windows workstations and mobile devices;
Working with Microsoft 365, Intune, and Entra ID, and depending on the client, with SCCM;
Performing user onboarding and offboarding;
Installing, configuring, replacing, and issuing workstations and equipment;
Handling incidents, service requests, and changes;
Assisting with migrations, roll-outs, and other changes within the workplace environment;
Keeping tickets, client documentation, and asset information up-to-date;
Identifying recurring problems, risks, and opportunities to improve service delivery;
Aligning findings and follow-up actions with colleagues within your client team.
What do you bring?
A completed MBO-4 (vocational education) degree in IT or a comparable work and thinking level;
Preferably 1 to 2 years of experience in workplace management or at least 2 years of experience in a Service Desk;
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365;
Experience with or knowledge of Microsoft Intune and/or SCCM;
Affinity with Entra ID and modern workplace environments;
Good communication skills;
A client-oriented, proactive, and independent work attitude;
Driver's license B, as working at clients on-site is an important part of your role.
We don't expect you to master everything yet. More importantly, you have a solid technical foundation, dare to take responsibility, and are motivated to develop yourself further.
