(Junior) Software Developer (m/w/d) Test Automation

We are looking for an engaged (Junior) Software Developer (m/w/d) in the field of test automation to support our team in the further development and quality assurance of innovative software solutions in the field of medical technology.

The position is available at our locations in Jena or Frankenthal (Pfalz).

Tasks

• Development of automated GUI tests using Python for a leading laser system in medical technology.
• Setup and expansion of the underlying test frameworks.
• Verification of given requirements and specifications using automated tests.
• Optional execution of individual test cases directly at the device in the laboratory.
• Reporting in the bug tracking system and documentation in English.
• Collaboration with our competent development team according to agile development models and close exchange with our stakeholders.

Qualification

• Successful completion of a degree in computer science or a comparable qualification.
• Secure handling of at least one programming language such as Python, C#, Java, or C++.
• Ideal experience in handling Jira (project management, bug tracking), code management with SVN, and test automation tools such as Squish.
• Team player with high self-motivation and responsible work style.
• Fluent German skills (at least C1 level) for internal communication and very good English skills for documentation.
