Junior Software Developer (React Native / JavaScript / Python) *INTERN*

We’re a fast-moving startup building the future of mental fitness. HEYR isn’t another wellbeing app. We’re building the mental fitness OS for Gen Z that genuinely helps people feel stronger, think sharper, and take on the world.

We’re looking for a Junior Developer who’s hungry to learn, build, and make a real impact. Someone who wants hands-on experience in a small, sharp team that’s tackling global mental health challenges with serious tech (and a bit of attitude).

As part of our product and engineering team, you’ll get to:

• Build and maintain new features within our React Native mobile app
• Work with JavaScript and GCP (Google Cloud Platform) to develop scalable backend services
• Use BigQuery to help process and visualise real-world mood and behavioural data
• Write clean, maintainable code and participate in regular code reviews
• Collaborate with designers, product leads, and data engineers on new features and improvements
• Support debugging, testing, and deployment processes
• Contribute to documentation and best practices as you learn the system inside out
• Assist in researching and implementing new tools or frameworks that can enhance our stack

What We’re Looking For:

• Basic experience or familiarity with React Native and JavaScript
• Some knowledge of APIs, Firebase, GCP, or BigQuery (bonus points for curiosity!)
• A genuine interest in learning, problem-solving, and building products that help people
• Excellent communication and team skills
• A growth mindset, comfortable asking questions and trying new things
