The WEROCK Technologies GmbH is a provider of robust computer solutions for industry & logistics, supply sector, rescue services, and more. Our hardware is hard-wearing – now we need you to breathe life into it with smart software.

We're not looking for another cog in the system developer. We're looking for our first internal software engineer who has the courage to build this area independently and grow with us.

Aufgaben

You'll develop no colorful websites, but as an interface between our robust hardware and the user. Your work has a direct impact on our products – from the Android Connector App to future projects like a PC Control Center or a Companion App for Industrial Smart Watches.

• Development of Windows- and Android-applications (e.g., C++/C# and Java) for interaction with our hardware
• Implementation of hardware-near functions like system-/device data reading, interface addressing, background processes
• BUILDING pragmatic release/update processes, versioning, clean delivery
• Independent implementation of software projects – from conception to implementation, it's up to you
• Tight cooperation with product management for implementing requirements

Qualifikation

• You can develop software independently from 'requirement' to 'runs stably'. A completed degree (computer science or equivalent) or training as a computer scientist is not necessarily required if you're a self-taught autodidact with notable skills.
• You feel at home in C++/C# (Windows) and Java/Kotlin (Android) and have a desire for system-near development (services/background, interfaces, debugging)
• Hardware affinity: You understand what drivers are, how system services function, and have no fear of communicating with physical devices.
• Mindset: You're a 'maker'. If you don't know something, you won't wait for help; instead, you'll research, test, and solve the problem (Stack Overflow & AI are your friends).
• Flexibility and self-initiative: You're pragmatic, learn quickly, document sensibly, and approach problems structured
• Language: Your code and comments are in English. You speak fluent English (C2). German knowledge is for the 'rum-tum' good, but not a must, Chinese of advantage

The tech stack isn't set in stone – what's important is that you can deliver. Typical skills would be:

• Windows: C#/.NET (e.g., WPF/WinUI/MAUI depending on the use case)
• Android: Java/Kotlin
• Handling hardware-near topics (permissions, connectivity, device info, peripherals) is a plus
