Junior Retail Merchandising Manager (f/m/d)

As a Junior Retail Merchandising Manager (f/m/d), you will coordinate the operational implementation of our brick-and-mortar brand presence – from store openings and rollouts to seasonal updates and the maintenance of our retail furniture and displays.
You will be responsible for demand planning and inventory management, as well as procurement coordination of retail furniture, inserts, displays, and spare parts.
In close collaboration with Visual Merchandising, Retail Marketing, Category Management, our retail partners, as well as external service providers and suppliers, you will ensure that approved concepts and planograms are implemented consistently at all POS, on time, and within the allocated budget.
Tasks
- You will coordinate external agencies, service providers, and suppliers in the production, installation, and maintenance of retail furniture and displays.
- You will be responsible for inventory and demand planning and ensure the availability of furniture, inserts, display components, and spare parts.
- You will coordinate the procurement of merchandising services, retail furniture, and associated components.
- You will plan and coordinate store openings, re-openings, closures, as well as seasonal POS updates. Together with Retail Marketing and Category Management, you will implement approved planograms and merchandising concepts.
- You will coordinate large-scale rollouts – from quantity planning and ordering to delivery and installation.
- You will manage operational communication with our retail partners regarding installations, replacement measures, and merchandising requirements.
- You will coordinate the production and implementation of new retail furniture and fixtures based on approved concepts and specifications.
- You will manage updates, repairs, and replacement of existing retail furniture, always keeping cost-efficiency in mind.
- You will keep an eye on project timelines, budgets, order quantities, and delivery status, ensuring smooth execution.
- You will ensure a consistent and precise implementation of our brand at all retail locations.
Requirements
- You have a completed commercial apprenticeship or a degree – ideally related to trade, retail management, project management, or a comparable field.
- You have at least 2 years of professional experience in Retail Merchandising, POS Management, Retail Operations, or a comparable coordinating function.
- You have experience in the coordination of operational retail projects, such as rollouts, store openings, POS updates, or the implementation of retail furniture and displays.
- You work in a structured and organized manner and can reliably keep track of timings, quantities, budgets, and deliverables, even with multiple parallel projects.
- You ideally have experience in managing external suppliers, agencies, or service providers, as well as coordinating orders, productions, deliveries, or installations.
- You feel comfortable working with numbers, inventories, and demand planning and can translate operational requirements into concrete quantities and next steps.
- You are familiar with the basic principles of planograms and POS merchandising and can reliably translate approved concepts and specifications into operational implementation.
- You are a proactive and solution-oriented communicator and can confidently coordinate various internal and external stakeholders.
- You enjoy working hands-on, take responsibility, and find pragmatic solutions even for short-term changes or operational challenges.
- You communicate fluently in German and English and feel comfortable in an international, cross-functional work environment.
