Surplex is part of one of the leading European networks for digital B2B auctions. We market machinery, vehicles, equipment, and other commercial assets, bringing sellers and buyers together through digital processes and personal support.

We want to grow in 2027. To make this work in terms of personnel, we need recruiting that is fast, binding, and close to candidates and departments. For this phase, we are looking for support for our People & Culture team.

What awaits you

As a Junior Recruiter, you will support Alex, our Talent Acquisition Manager, in operational recruiting and will have direct candidate contact from the start. Together, you will work on various positions – from the initial outreach through interviews to supporting the entire application process.

You won't just be thrown into the daily grind: you will learn our recruiting best practices, be taught our candidate management approach, and build your general recruiting know-how step by step. As your experience grows, you will take on increasing responsibility in the process and later also tasks in onboarding.

Your tasks

• Conducting initial telephone interviews
• Supporting and conducting interviews
• Active sourcing for various roles
• Regular communication with candidates throughout the entire process
• Maintaining and tracking ongoing application processes in the ATS
• Close coordination with Hiring Managers and internal contacts
• Supporting and later independently moderating onboarding sessions

What matters in this role

You don't have to be a fully trained recruiter yet. It's more important that you fundamentally understand recruiting, enjoy working with people, and are eager to take on responsibility quickly.

The role is a good fit for you if you already have some contact with HR or recruiting – for example, through studies, internships, working student positions, or a first junior role.

• Basic understanding of recruiting and HR
• Enjoyment of phone calls and direct candidate communication
• Very good German and fluent English
• Structured and reliable way of working
• Curiosity about different roles and departments
• Persistence and a good feel for follow-ups
• Casual, confident demeanor in conversations
• Service orientation and interest in a good candidate experience
• Willingness to come to the Düsseldorf office at short notice if required
