Junior Python Developer Kl & Retrieval (m/w/d)

Kivvo is Germany's first truly data-sovereign business AI — built for the midmarket, hosted in Germany, and based on internal knowledge of each company. We are looking for a Python developer who does not wait until Kl is finished, but builds it together. You will be part of a team that prioritizes substance over promises and has already established the infrastructure, the first pilot customers, and the technical foundation. Aufgaben

What you'll do

• Built-in with Kivvo: Features, data flows, Kl-based application logic
• Pretreated and processed data so that Kl can work sensibly on it
• Experimented with LLMs and Retrieval/RAG concepts and implemented solutions
• Solved pragmatic problems: Sometimes with your own code, sometimes with existing tools
• Participated in team decisions and brought in your own ideas

What you'll learn

• How to make Kl applications productive - not just a prototype, but really usable
• How a small team brings a software product from idea to customer
• Practical handling of Python, LLM APIs, data processing, Retrieval systems, and vector databases
• How to structure and handle uncertainty independently

Qualifikation

What we expect

• Python: You have developed small tools, scripts, or automations on your own, not just learned in school
• LLM experience: You have implemented small applications with LLMs (APls, automation, tools)
• Practical proof: You have implemented projects that you can show us or describe clearly
• Self-sufficiency: You can get started with new topics without someone always sitting next to you
• Languages: Secure German in the work context and solid English for team, technology, and documentation

Bonus - not required, but nice to see

• Experience with RAG / data-based Kl: own applications that search or integrate data
• Practical experience with vector databases or Retrieval systems (e.g. Qdrant, Weaviate, ChromaDB)
• GitHub projects or a portfolio that we can take a look at
• Experience in setting up structured data pipelines
