Junior Purchaser

Junior purchaser position is accountable for performing all purchasing activities necessary to continuously improve the creation and delivery of value to our customers. As a valuable member of the BD Diesel team, this position contributes to the goal of being an innovative and world class manufacturer that serves the North American diesel and gas vehicle industry. This position reports to the Purchasing Supervisor and takes direction from them. Requirements Manages a Smaller and less critical purchasing portfolio, with a focus on cost savings, quality and timely delivery. Develops and maintains relationships with suppliers to ensure a stable and reliable supply chain. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements. Analyzes and interprets data to inform purchasing decisions. Identifies and mitigates risks associated with purchasing activities. Maintains accurate and up-to-date records of purchasing activities.
