Junior Product Developer - Home & Personal Care (m/f/d)

Then you've come to the right place as a Junior Product Developer - Home & Personal Care (m/f/d) with us, because here you'll quickly take on responsibility for your own projects.

Your main tasks will be:

• Develop & Optimize Formulations: You will conduct practical feasibility tests of new formulation ideas for detergents/cleaning agents and cosmetics, and optimize existing products.

• Lab Tests & Analytics: You will independently manage your lab formulations through systematic lab tests (characterization, stability, and storage tests).

• Laboratory Organization: You will be responsible for the smooth, practical operation of the laboratory and contribute your own ideas for optimizing our internal laboratory processes.

• Raw Material Qualification: Together with the team, you will test and qualify new, innovative, or alternative raw materials.

• Interfaces & Benchmarking: You will conduct technical benchmarking and performance evaluations, select external testing institutes (e.g., for Dermatest, heavy metal analysis), and commission them. You will also coordinate closely with our contract manufacturers regarding quality agreements, QA parameters, and scale-up support.

• Documentation: You will systematically document your results and share them with the R&D team.

• Successfully completed vocational training as a Chemical/Biology Laboratory Technician, or as a Chemical/Biological Technical Assistant (CTA/BTA) OR a completed degree in Chemistry, Biology, Life Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Cosmetics or Food Technology, or similar.

• Ideally, you already have some initial professional experience in product development – e.g., through internships, thesis work, or early years of employment – and ideally have some experience with formulating surfactant systems or emulsions.

• A high degree of analytical thinking, along with self-organized, reliable, and conscientious work habits, characterize you. You are eager to take responsibility for practical laboratory operations, approach complex issues with a solution-oriented mindset, and are committed to precise, safe documentation of your work results.

• You are a true team player and are confident in coordinating professionally and assertively with external partners and contract manufacturers.

• You are proficient in MS Office/Google Suite; knowledge of SAP is a welcome plus (desirable).

• Very good German and good to fluent English skills, both written and spoken, for international communication with suppliers.
