Junior Network Administrator (m/w/d)

Tasks

As a network administrator, you will be part of our four-person team at our location in the Hartmannstraße in Bamberg.

Your tasks will be:

• Support for administration and further development of existing network environment (LAN, WAN, VLAN, VoIP, VPN)
• Participation in configuring, monitoring, and optimizing network infrastructure (routing, switching, monitoring)
• Analysis and troubleshooting of network disruptions as well as support for performance optimizations
• Participation in administering firewalls and implementing IT security measures
• Collaboration with external service providers in the field of network and security

Qualification

• Completed training as a system integration specialist
• First professional experience in the network environment, e.g., through training, internships, or private projects
• Fundamental knowledge in the areas of routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, and firewalls
• Knowledge of Juniper, Palo Alto Networks, or NetApp is advantageous but not a requirement
• Excellent German and English skills in writing and speaking
• Readiness for on-call duty as well as travel activities to a limited extent
