Junior Network Security Analyst

Role and Responsibilities

We are looking for a recent graduate or someone with initial experience (0-2 years) to join the security team to support firewall rule validation activities on complex corporate network infrastructures.

This is a position suitable for those who want to build a solid foundation in network security within an Enterprise context, with guidance from senior resources.

Main Activities

• Support the analysis and technical validation of firewall rules on corporate network perimeters
• Collaborate with the team in network security mapping and traffic analysis
• Document activities performed according to internal team procedures
• Automate repetitive data analysis processes

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer/Telecommunications Engineering, Cybersecurity, or equivalent (technical diploma with practical experience may be considered)
• Basic knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, VLAN, routing, subnetting) and firewall operating principles
• Basic knowledge of cybersecurity (main attack vectors, perimeter defense concepts, security best practices)
• Demonstrated interest in cybersecurity (personal projects, basic certifications, CTFs, platforms like LeetCode/TryHackMe, etc. are a plus)
• Analytical skills, precision, problem-solving attitude
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Good knowledge of the Italian language; technical English for documentation
• Good willingness and good learning ability

Nice to have

• Basic security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+) and network certifications (e.g., CCNA)
• Basic/intermediate knowledge of Python
• Basic knowledge of Python libraries for data analysis (Pandas, NumPy)

What we offer?

• Permanent employment contract with the application of the National Collective Labour Agreement for the Metalworking Industry (CCNL Metalmeccanico Industria).
• For this position, a salary range of € 25,000 - € 30,000 gross annual salary is foreseen in accordance with the applied CCNL, the level of classification envisaged by the reference grids for the proposed professional role.
• Positioning within the range will be determined based on objective and gender-neutral criteria, including experience gained and level of technical skills relevant to the proposed role.
