As a Junior Network Automation Engineer you should ideally meet the following criteria: Proof of 2 years of professional, hands-on operational experience in the field of networks or network security Good understanding of basic networking concepts such as IP addressing, subnetting, routing, switching, network layers and commonly used protocols Good understanding of the principles and features of modern firewalls Hands-on experience with Git Practical experience building automation scripts using Python Familiarity with Linux and Unix-based systems Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools Familiarity with network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP, FTP, SSH, and others Familiarity with network architecture and design principles Familiarity with network security concepts and best practices Familiarity with network automation tools and frameworks such as Ansible, SaltStack, and others Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to learn and adapt quickly Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively Ability to communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
