The organization
This is where you will work

You will be working at a specialized machine builder that develops loading arms and installations worldwide for the safe and efficient transfer of liquids between ship, tank, and terminal.

Everything here revolves around customization and quality. Each loading arm is specifically designed for the customer's situation, making no project the same. The systems must be reliable, safe, and durable and often last for decades.

You will work in a team of about 10 engineers within a down-to-earth family business. Communication lines are short, the atmosphere is informal, and everyone helps each other. From the initial customer request to production in our own workshop: everything happens in-house, allowing you to see your designs truly come to life.

The role
This is what you will do

As a Junior Mechanical Engineer, you will work on designing and developing complex installations in the maritime industry, such as loading arms. You will consider forces, loads, the environment, and the safety and reliability of the construction.

You will work on multiple projects simultaneously, where no design is the same, and you will be continuously challenged to come up with clever technical solutions.

What you will do:

• 3D modeling and design in Inventor
• Calculating structures for strength and stability
• Developing designs into production drawings
• Contributing from the customer request: what is technically possible?
• Liaising with engineers and production
• Guiding your design through to realization in the workshop

So, you will not only see your design on your screen but also actually see it being built.

• HBO work and thinking level (Mechanical Engineering direction)
• Experience or affinity with 3D CAD (preferably Inventor)
• Interest in mechanical engineering and structural calculations
• You enjoy working on multiple projects simultaneously
• You are eager to learn and want to develop yourself as an engineer
