Junior Inventory Manager / Stock Controller - Steel

RPO Recruitment's client is looking for a Junior Inventory Manager / Stock Controller to join their team in Tongaat, KwaZulu-Natal. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a new inventory bar scanning system and overseeing stock control operations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and optimize inventory levels across the facility

• Implement and oversee the inventory bar scanning system

• Ensure accurate stock control and timely reporting

• Analyze inventory data to improve processes and reduce discrepancies

• Oversee compliance with internal standards and industry regulations

• Collaborate with warehouse staff and other departments

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse and inventory functions

Requirements:

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field

• Minimum of 3 years’ proven experience in inventory management or stock control, preferably in a manufacturing or steel packaging environment

• Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is highly beneficial

• Strong analytical and reporting skills

• Familiarity with steel-related materials such as metal, chrome, alloy, carbon, etc.
