We are looking for a Junior Inspector to join our Italian team of Caleb Brett (Cargo).

Caleb Brett provides inspections on cargoes and analytical evaluations for the oil, mining, mineral, and biofuels industries. As a Junior Inspector, you will be part of the inspection team in Genova and will be responsible for measuring volumes, temperatures, sampling, calculations, verifying documentation, and writing reports that ensure our clients receive an independent, accurate, and comprehensive assessment of the material quantity and quality.

You will be responsible for:

• performing samples, measurements, and inventory of tanks/land-based vessels.
• Communicating and coordinating with terminal personnel, transportation, and client society to facilitate the correct exercise of assigned tasks.
• Maintaining availability of necessary supplies for processes above and reporting any needs to coordinators.
• Performing routine calibration of equipment, verification, and functional checks.
• Organizing and coordinating work to ensure services are delivered and reports and samples are presented correctly, completely, and on time.
• Verifying and communicating results obtained and recording them in appropriate supports, both paper-based and electronic, necessary to ensure the validity and traceability of information.

Requirements

We are looking for:

• Tech diploma (nautical or equivalent)
• Residence in Genova (or surrounding areas).
• Knowledge of the English language.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Availability to work on shifts, with irregular hours and on call.
• Valid driving license.
• Prior experience as a technician in the naval/petrochemical field will be considered a plus.
