Junior HR Manager – Recruiting & People Operations (m/f/d)

Shape the HR future of a newly founded higher education IT organization in NRW

Location: Düsseldorf | Contract: Limited term | Working hours: 25-40 hours

HITS.NRW is a newly founded, central IT service provider for public universities in North Rhine-Westphalia.

Our mission: To shape the higher education IT of the future together with universities of applied sciences as well as state art and music academies. To achieve this, we are developing scalable services for the entire state in the areas of Cloud, Cyber Security, Software, and IT Procurement.

To ensure our organization can continue to grow, we are looking for you: You will shape our recruiting from the first contact to successful onboarding and simultaneously support operational people management. You will work closely with the management, our internal HR contact person, and the specialist departments – with plenty of scope to contribute your own ideas and take on responsibility.

What awaits you

Recruiting & Talent Acquisition – Your focus:

• Steering and coordinating recruiting processes from job posting to hiring.
• Developing target group-specific job advertisements, selecting suitable recruiting channels, and actively approaching suitable talents.
• Conducting initial interviews and supporting specialist departments closely in the selection process.
• Further developing candidate experience, our recruiting standards, and employer branding.

People Operations – Your complementary task:

• Accompanying onboarding and offboarding processes and supporting administrative HR topics related to personnel documents, contracts, and certificates.
• Maintaining personnel data and participating in the digitalization and further development of lean HR processes with Factorial.

What you bring

• Successfully completed university degree in HR/Personnel, Psychology, Business, or a comparable qualification.
• Ideally, two to three years of professional experience in recruiting, HR management, or people operations.
• Enjoy actively approaching people, identifying suitable talents, inspiring them for HITS.nrw, and professionally guiding them through the entire application process.
• Clear, appreciative communication and a good sense for different target groups and situations.
• A structured, reliable way of working, initiative, and a desire to take on responsibility in a growing environment.
