Job description

Is your passion Human Resources and do you love to accompany people from their first contact through their working life? Do you want pure variety – between active candidate search, personal employee support, and structured HR administration? Are you characterized by organizational skills, strong communication, and a real service mentality for our teams? Then you are exactly right with us!

Kreuzfahrtberater is one of the leading online portals for the brokerage of cruises from all renowned shipping companies in the DACH region. We are proud of our proven service quality (Trust-Pilot: 4.8) as well as repeated awards as the best cruise portal in Germany.

For our HR team, we are looking for a dedicated (Junior) HR Manager (m/f/d) as soon as possible. The position is limited until summer 2028 as part of a parental leave replacement. We work hybrid: your main location will be in Ahrensburg, while at the same time we look forward to your regular presence in our Hamburg office for personal exchange with our teams.

Responsibilities

The stated goal: to accompany our employees and applicants as a stable anchor in daily HR work and to always provide the right tailwind with comprehensive operational HR support throughout the entire employee lifecycle.

Your core tasks include:

  • Independent management of the application process for selected vacancies – from writing and posting job advertisements, reviewing applications, to supporting applicants and conducting selection interviews (phone interviews, video calls, assessment days, trial work).
  • Empathetic point of contact for our employees on all HR-related issues (in person at the Ahrensburg and Hamburg locations, by email and phone).
  • Reliable support for the entire onboarding and offboarding process.
  • Active participation in feedback and employee reviews.
  • Careful execution of all administrative HR tasks (e.g., creation of employment references, retrieval of eAUs and A1 certificates), maintenance of our HR management system, and creation of relevant reports.
  • Preparatory payroll accounting / interface to our external tax office for monthly salary calculations.
  • Administrative support in office management (e.g., reordering office supplies, scheduling appointments for service providers) and active support in planning and implementing our company events.

Qualifications

  • You have completed a degree or a comparable vocational training in human resource management, business administration, or a related field – alternatively, you bring initial relevant professional experience in human resources.
  • You have initial practical insights into operational human resource management, HR administration, or have already gained experience as an HR generalist.
  • You are a true communication talent with a pronounced service orientation, you present yourself confidently at all levels, and you enjoy interacting with different people and departments.
  • You handle sensitive data conscientiously and with absolute trustworthiness as a matter of course.
  • You approach your tasks with a clear hands-on mentality: you work in a structured, careful manner and pragmatically and independently drive topics forward.
  • You are completely proficient in using common MS Office applications and communicate very well in German and confidently in English.
  • Just like us, you are enthusiastic about tourism – initial insights into the travel or cruise industry are a great bonus, but not a must.
  • Initial basic knowledge of labor and social security law is advantageous, but not a must-have – we will work through any practical knowledge you may still lack together as a team.

Benefits

Besides the best colleagues in the world, you can expect, among other things:

  • Fixed-term employment until summer 2028 as part of a parental leave replacement.
  • Hybrid work model with a mix of office presence and home office.
  • 30 days of vacation per year for a 5-day week.
  • Subsidy for company pension plan beyond the statutory amount.
  • Subsidy for the Deutschland-Ticket or a parking space in our underground garage in Ahrensburg.
  • Discounted access to "EGYM Wellpass" (Fitness & Wellness).
  • Team budget for joint events.
  • Discounted cruises for you and your family, as well as other tourism benefits.
  • Participation in ship visits and events of our shipping partners.

Perfect CVs are rare – and we are not looking for superheroes. For us, your motivation, your personality, and your potential are most important. We can develop everything else together. Therefore, feel free to apply, even if not all of the listed requirements fit – we prefer to look together whether the course is right.
