Junior Health & Safety Officer

RPO's client is actively seeking a talented Graduate Health and Safety (OHS / SHE) Officer to join their team in Observatory, Western Cape. They are looking for a candidate who can support the development, implementation, and oversight of health and safety programs. This entry-level role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in ensuring a safe and compliant work environment within the manufacturing and fulfilment operations. This is an opportunity for a dedicated professional who will be responsible for: • Conducting site visits to monitor compliance with health and safety policies and procedures; • Identifying and reporting hazards, near misses, and incidents; • Developing and implementing corrective actions to prevent re-occurrence of hazards; • Collaborating with the operations team to develop and implement training programs for employees on health and safety best practices; • Maintaining accurate records of health and safety activities, including incident reports, hazard reports, and training records; • Providing support to the management team in developing and implementing health and safety policies and procedures; • Staying up-to-date with relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards related to health and safety. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field, and will be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of health and safety principles and practices.
