Junior Health & Safety Officer

Hire Resolve, a leading recruitment agency, is currently seeking a Junior Health & Safety Officer to join an IT company based in Roodepoort, Gauteng. As a Junior Health & Safety Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and implementing effective safety management systems in the company. You will work closely with the Risk and Safety Officer to identify and mitigate risks, conduct inspections, and provide support in maintaining a safe working environment for all employees. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of health and safety principles and be able to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels. Key responsibilities include: • Conducting regular site visits to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations; • Identifying and mitigating risks in the workplace; • Developing and implementing effective safety management systems; • Providing support and guidance to employees on health and safety matters; • Maintaining accurate records of incidents, near misses, and hazards; • Collaborating with the Risk and Safety Officer to develop and implement risk assessments and mitigation strategies; • Conducting inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations; • Providing training and guidance to employees on health and safety procedures; Requirements: • A relevant degree in Health & Safety, Occupational Health, or a related field; • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role; • Strong understanding of health and safety principles and regulations; • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Benefits: • Competitive salary; • Comprehensive benefits package; • Opportunities for career growth and development; • Collaborative and dynamic work environment;
