(Junior) Graphic Designer E-Commerce (m/f/d)
Job description
Under the brand MAMEIDO, we design and sell lifestyle products in the categories Drink & Food to-go and Home. We believe in the beauty of the everyday – in products that are pleasant to hold and nice to display. For most of our customers, the product image is the only encounter with the product before they buy it. Accordingly, much depends on our visual language.
We are a team of 20 people and sell throughout Europe via our own online shop as well as various marketplaces & retailers. Short paths, quick decisions, no corporate processes: what you design in the morning can be live the day after tomorrow and measurably drive sales. If this direct feedback between design and result appeals to you, you'll fit in with us.
Tasks
You design what our customers see – on the product and in all digital touchpoints. Design is not an end in itself. A good product image doesn't just look beautiful – it answers the questions a customer has before purchasing and prevents disappointment after delivery. If this combination of aesthetics and impact interests you, you will learn a lot with us.
- Product Content for Marketplaces: You create product images, infographics, and A+ content for our listings and adapt them for our international sales markets.
- Online Shop: You design and optimize visual content for our Shopify shop – from the homepage to the conversion-optimized product detail page.
- Product Artworks & Print You graphically implement designs for UV direct printing on our products – based on mood boards and briefings from product management, occasionally also according to customer specifications. From the template to the print-ready file. You also further develop packaging, labels, and inserts.
- Focus on Impact: You look at which image variants convert and where depictions lead to returns – and derive improvements from them.
- Day-to-day Business: You handle adjustments for product changes, corrections, retouching, and short-term design tasks from the team.
How we work: The ideas usually come from the team – from product management, marketing, or from us. We know very precisely from reviews, reasons for returns, and market data what a product image needs to achieve, and for artworks, we work with mood boards and clear concepts. Your strength is to translate these ideas into something that works and looks good. If you want to contribute your own suggestions: very welcome, our door is open. But it's not mandatory.
In Perspective: If the product content is established across all channels, the role can expand towards marketing design – campaigns, social media, ad creatives. But that will come later and depends on where you want to develop yourself.
Qualifications
Do you have a design education, a degree – or a portfolio that speaks for itself? Then you'll fit in with us if you bring the following:
- Initial experience in graphic design, media design, or digital content
- A keen sense for aesthetics, typography, and image composition, also within an existing corporate design
- Proficient use of common design tools like Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- An open mindset towards AI tools and their possibilities in design – you try new things before they become standard and look for the more efficient path instead of the usual one
- Basic understanding of pre-press and color management – or the willingness to quickly familiarize yourself with it
- The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and handle changing priorities
- Diligence and perseverance: A significant part of the work is serial production with consistent quality
- An independent, reliable way of working and enjoyment of teamwork
- Fluent German and good English skills – other languages such as French, Italian, or Spanish are a plus
Experience with Amazon content or e-commerce is a plus, but not a requirement – we will teach you that.
Benefits
- Start with Perspective: Clear prospect of salary increase with corresponding performance
- €50 net extra per month: Tax-free benefit as a credit card, freely usable – in addition to salary
- Your work becomes product: Your designs end up on things that people hold in their hands every day – not just on screens
- Short Paths: Flat hierarchies, quick decisions. What you design in the morning can be live the day after tomorrow
- Flexible Working: 3 to 4 days of home office per week by arrangement, otherwise together in the office in Düsseldorf
- Modern Equipment: Attractive office, Apple products and Adobe Creative Cloud
- Further Training: Support for individual, job-related further training

You recognize yourself, but not in every point? Apply anyway. We are more interested in what you can show than what is written on paper.
Send us your portfolio – that is more important to us than a perfectly formulated cover letter. If we like what we see, we will get in touch quickly. For us, no long process decides, but a conversation and a small paid test task, through which you will see how we work – and we, how you work.
