(Junior-) Approvals Manager (m/w/d)

To strengthen our team in the area of approvals management, we are looking for a motivated Junior Approvals Manager (m/w/d) at the Römerberg or Hamburg location, who will shape the implementation of significant infrastructure and energy projects. You will support the planning, coordination, and execution of approval procedures and contribute to successfully implementing projects in the field of energy transition while complying with regulations.

Tasks

• Supporting the conduct and coordination of approval procedures according to BImSchG or other relevant laws
• Preparing, reviewing, and compiling approval documents and application documentation
• Coordinating with authorities, experts, planning offices, and internal project teams
• Participating in identifying and evaluating approval-relevant risks and conditions
• Supporting the development and implementation of internal processes in approvals management
• Maintaining and managing project-specific documentation in digital systems
• Supporting the preparation of presentations and reports for clients and authorities

Qualification

• Completed Master's degree in a relevant field such as approvals, environmental, engineering sciences or comparable qualification
• 3-5 years of professional experience in approvals management, environmental procedures, or the infrastructure/energy sector
• Familiarity with relevant legal frameworks (e.g. BImSchG, UVPG, WHG, NatSchG, BauGB)
• Experience in coordinating environmental planning and exchanging information between departments
• IT affinity and safe handling of MS Office
• Able to work independently and quickly adapt to new topics
• Structured and self-reliant working style with excellent communication skills
• Will to occasional business trips depending on project progress
