Junior Fullstack Engineer (m/f/d) TS, React, Next.js & AI 100% Remote

NotarPartner is building the digital working environment for German notaries – from notaries for notaries. Instead of copy-pasting from Word templates: enter data, select regulation, download ready-to-sign deed. Over 140 law firms are already working with us, plus digital files & AI assistant.

We have just completed our funding round. In the coming months, we will scale from around 120 to 2,000 affiliated notary offices. For this, we are building an in-house engineering team.

You will be one of the first permanent engineers in this team – with real influence on architecture, product, and pace.

Responsibilities

- You will develop features end-to-end: from the idea through the React/Next.js frontend to the Node.js services and the data model in PostgreSQL.

- You will integrate AI functions into the product – deed generation, document analysis, agentic workflows – and use the latest AI tools in your daily development.

- You will make the platform scalable: multi-tenant architecture, performance, and reliability for the leap to 2,000 notary offices.

- You will further develop interfaces, including the XNP export to the Federal Chamber of Notaries, the Word add-in, and exports to common law firm software.

- You will work directly with the Product Owner and notaries – short communication channels, no ticket loops, you talk to the people who use the software daily.

- You will help shape our engineering standards: code reviews, architecture decisions, and team building.

Qualifications

- At least 1 year of professional experience as a Fullstack Engineer, with projects that you have independently brought from inception to production.

- Very proficient in React, Next.js, TypeScript, and Node.js; solid knowledge of PostgreSQL (Supabase) and/or NoSQL databases.

- Genuine enthusiasm for AI tooling (e.g., Claude) and agentic workflows – you don't just use them, you think in terms of them.

- Strong product understanding: You first ask which problem needs to be solved, and only then how it will be built.

- Native-level German (C2). Our product relies on specialized notarial terminology – without linguistic precision, it won't work here.

- Residence in Germany and willingness to attend occasional team meetings.

Nice to have: Experience in Legal Tech or other regulated industries, with multi-tenant architectures, or with data privacy-critical systems.
