DR. VIVIEN KARL is a young, rapidly growing Berlin-based startup that redefines the market for female intimate care with natural, science-based and aesthetic products. We live and love Female Empowerment – and are looking for reinforcement for our finance team. With your work, you ensure that our financial processes run reliably and important business decisions can be made on a clean data basis.

Aufgaben

• You review and process incoming invoices, recognize incorrect invoices, reject them and demand corrected documentation from our suppliers – and ensure that payment deadlines are reliably met.
• You are responsible for preparing creditor and debtor accounting (SKR04) and work closely with our tax office.
• You contribute to monthly and annual closing statements and prepare our monthly reporting – including the question of how bookkeeping can be meaningfully incorporated into our company's key figures.
• You regularly coordinate with the team on promotional actions, new products, new marketplaces and storage locations, inventory levels and out-of-stock situations, advance payments and deliveries.
• You work with our accounting interfaces: You understand which data can be exported from Shopify and Amazon, what's behind it, and how it flows into bookkeeping through mapping systems (e.g. Pathway).
• You create expense reports, manage our expenses using Spendesk and support with other administrative finance topics.
• You answer questions and feedback reliably, independently retrieve missing or incorrect information and bring in your own ideas to continuously review and improve existing processes.

Qualifikation

• A completed degree or completed training in the field of business administration, finance, accounting or a comparable qualification – ideally with initial professional experience in bookkeeping.
• Fundamental knowledge of proper accounts and safe handling of booking keys and bookkeeping systematics, particularly according to SKR04.
• Practical experience with DATEV Unternehmen online; knowledge of Spendesk and accounting interfaces is a plus.
• Interest in e-commerce technology and interfaces: You want to understand how data from Shopify and Amazon arises, exports, and further processing.
• A basic understanding of reporting and how bookkeeping fits into it.
• Zahlenaffinität as well as structured, meticulous, and reliable working habits – paired with initiative and joy in taking responsibility.
• Openness to new things and changes, as well as the willingness to critically review processes.
• Safe handling of Excel or Google Sheets.
• Very good German language skills in writing and speaking.
