Job description

Your daily responsibilities:

  • You support the management and administration of our operation tools (e.g. Sentry, DataDog, GitLab) and learn these systems step by step.
  • You work together with the team to monitor and bring in your own ideas for further development.
  • You work on the maintenance and further development of our Proxmox- and Azure-systems.
  • You help with the maintenance of our on-premises and company network (routing, port forwarding, VLAN management, VPNs) and expand your knowledge.
  • You support the administration of permissions and help with implementing automated concepts.
  • You bring in improvements to the network structure and security and take over increasingly independent projects after familiarization.
  • You work on the adaptation and further development of GitLab-CI/CD pipelines and learn modern DevOps practices.
  • You support the maintenance and optimization of AWX playbooks (Ansible).
  • You help with the implementation of infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible) and gain valuable practical experience.
  • You help with the administration of permissions (Entra ID, Third-Party applications) and learn automated role and permission concepts.
  • You work on the development and maintenance of deployment solutions for the Azure Cloud.
  • You learn optimal deployment processes and shape them together with the development team.
  • You will be gradually introduced to 2nd-level support for our internal teams and take over topics over time.

Your skills:

  • You have a strong motivation to get involved in the world of DevOps, Cloud, and automation.
  • You are curious, self-motivated, and willing to learn new things.
  • You work structured, carefully, and enjoy solving problems systematically.
  • You have first-hand experience with Linux and basic knowledge of the command line (e.g. Bash).
  • You have a basic understanding of networks (e.g. IP, routing, DNS). Deep special knowledge is not required.
  • You have a completed education, a degree (e.g. computer science, business informatics), or comparable practical experience (e.g. through internships, private projects, homelab).
  • You have a team spirit and communication joy.
  • You have fluent German and solid English skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Basic knowledge of Docker and working with containers.
  • Experience in programming or scripting.
  • First insights into CI/CD pipelines (e.g. with GitLab or GitHub Actions).
  • First experiences with Cloud services like Azure or AWS, e.g. through tutorials, certifications, or own projects.
  • First encounters with infrastructure as code.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory.
