Junior Data Consultant (m/w/d)

We are looking for a junior data consultant to join our team at MARTENS & PRAHL Versicherungskontor GmbH & Co. KG. The holding company understands itself as a service provider for the group. It takes over administrative tasks, develops strategic visions, provides support in advertising or consulting. Additionally, it develops concepts and products, organizes training sessions, and promotes the continuous exchange of know-how. For our team at the location in Lübeck or Cologne, we are looking for a junior data consultant (m/w/d) to fill an open position.

Aufgaben

You will create data-based decision-making foundations for our group of companies, which means:

• You set up dashboards and reports with Qlik Sense and develop them further
• You work closely with the departments together and translate technical requirements into technical solutions
• You support in integrating and preparing data from systems like AMS (Assfinet) and DATEV
• You contribute to developing structured and performant data models (e.g., clear KPI logic, avoiding redundancies)
• You automate recurring processes (data loading processes, reporting, distribution of reports, incorporating write-back solutions)
• You actively shape our BI landscape and develop it further

Qualifikation

• You have a degree in business informatics, data science, computer science or a comparable field (alternatively: relevant training with corresponding further education in the data/Business Intelligence field)
• You have ideal experience in the insurance industry, controlling or business intelligence
• You think analytically and approach data in a structured manner
• You communicate openly and can explain complex content to colleagues who are not familiar with it
• You bring economic basic knowledge and master Office 365 securely – knowledge of Business Intelligence software (e.g. Qlik Sense, Power BI, Jedox) and databases is desirable
• You are interested in developing BI solutions and innovations in the field of data analysis
