For our locations in Mainz or Berlin, we are looking for a (Junior) Data Analyst (m/f/d) as soon as possible, full-time or part-time, initially for a fixed term of two years.


Your Tasks

  • You will be responsible for the preparation, analysis, and visualization of data related to media science questions.
  • You will create data analyses, primarily from the fields of social media and video research.
  • You will build interactive dashboards to present complex results comprehensibly.
  • You will participate in exciting data science projects - from the design phase (including prototyping) through development to productive use.
  • You will be involved in the conception and analysis of tracking our digital products (web and app).
  • You will advise our Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and clients on topics of data, visualization, methods, and tools.
  • You will use AI tools to improve our processes.

Your Profile

  • You have a completed degree in Data Science, Media Studies, or a comparable qualification.
  • You are characterized by your extensive knowledge and affinity for data and terms such as metrics, KPIs, or interactions.
  • You have knowledge in the areas of statistical methods, data-driven analytical methods, and data visualization techniques, and ideally have initial experience in their practical application.
  • You can grasp complex problems and work with a team on data-based solutions.
  • You are proficient in using data visualization tools (e.g., Google Cloud Data Studio, Power BI, Tableau) and with SQL queries.
  • Ideally, you have initial experience with programming languages such as Python.
  • You possess the ability to present complex issues understandably.
  • You enjoy working independently and can structure yourself very well.
  • You are proficient in using common MS Office applications.
  • You have very good written and spoken German and English skills.
