Junior Community Manager

SoccerBeat is seeking a digitally fluent Junior Community Manager to lead real-time audience interaction, moderation, and community growth across our social platforms. This role is responsible for managing comments, fostering healthy fan conversations, and protecting the SoccerBeat brand across Facebook, Instagram, X and YouTube (shows and shorts). The ideal candidate understands the South African football landscape and culture, thrives in a fast-paced digital environment, and knows how to balance multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail. Key responsibilities include: • Managing comments on social media platforms, ensuring that all interactions are respectful, engaging, and aligned with SoccerBeat's brand values; • Fostering healthy fan conversations by responding promptly to user queries, addressing concerns, and providing helpful information; • Protecting the SoccerBeat brand across all social media platforms by monitoring and reporting any suspicious or inappropriate activity; • Collaborating with the content team to develop and implement community engagement strategies that drive audience growth and increase brand loyalty; • Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in digital marketing, social media, and football culture to ensure SoccerBeat remains a leader in its field. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is comfortable working independently as well as part of a team, has excellent communication skills, and is able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
