The successful candidate will have a solid foundation in litigation and a strong interest in commercial litigation matters. Exposure to regulatory issues and an understanding of the commercial environment would be advantageous. RESPONSIBILITIES • Litigation support: Provide assistance in preparing pleadings, drafting motions, and conducting research for ongoing cases. • Case management: Manage and coordinate case files, ensuring timely and efficient progression of matters. • Client communication: Develop strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates on case progress and offering strategic advice. • Team collaboration: Work closely with senior attorneys and support staff to achieve team goals and objectives. REQUIREMENTS • LLB degree or equivalent qualification. • 1-2 years’ post-admission experience in a commercial litigation environment. • Strong understanding of South African law, particularly the Companies Act and Insolvency Act. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Proficiency in MS Office applications. • Familiarity with case management software would be advantageous.
