Junior Bookkeeper (V/M/X)

The National Bank of Belgium (NBB) plays a key role in the financial and economic landscape of our country and is part of the Eurosystem. It watches over the stability of the financial system, contributes to monetary policy and provides numerous essential services to governments and international institutions. Working at the NBB means contributing to socially important assignments in a stable, professional and knowledge-driven environment. The Payments & Back Office department is responsible for processing and managing payment transactions, as well as providing support to other departments within the bank. As a Junior Bookkeeper, you will be part of this team and be responsible for ensuring that all financial transactions are properly recorded and reported. This includes tasks such as preparing and submitting reports, reconciling accounts, and performing various accounting and bookkeeping functions. You will also have the opportunity to work on special projects and contribute to the development of new processes and procedures. The ideal candidate should have a degree in accounting or a related field, and have at least 1 year of experience in a similar role. Fluency in Dutch is required, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and Word.
