uNaice is a pioneer in the field of automated content production and automated data preparation and enrichment.

We develop for clients who are riding the wave of digitalization. Our clients include top players in e-commerce such as adidas, Wago, TUI, C&A, as well as publishers like Neue Westfälische Zeitung, Volksstimme, and above all international manufacturers with very large amounts of data and a need for international content.

Our work enables industry pioneers to automatically standardize, clean, structure, and enrich data and/or content, all completely automatically. In short: we can turn texts into datasets with attributes and attribute values, or create and publish unique, conversion-strong, and SEO-relevant product descriptions and category pages from data at the push of a button. And this in 110 languages.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Developer for 20 hours per week on a permanent contract.

Your registered residence is in Germany. You also work in Germany.

Tasks

Your tasks

As a Junior Backend Developer, with concurrent knowledge in React, you will actively participate in the further development of our backend around DataContentNaicer. Your tasks will include:

• Development and maintenance of backend services with Python (e.g., REST / GraphQL APIs)
• Integration and processing of data sources (various formats such as JSON, CSV, XML etc.)
• Building and optimizing data pipelines & data modeling (data cleaning, attribute/selection of feature parameters etc.)
• Collaboration with the frontend team: Ensuring that APIs are performant, stable, and well-documented
• Writing tests, code reviews, and participating in an agile team
• Deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of backend components
• Quality assurance of the frontend in React

Qualifications

Your profile

Must-haves:

• Completed degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Very good knowledge of Python (e.g., with frameworks like Flask, FastAPI or Django)
• Good basic knowledge of React
• Experience with API design (REST or GraphQL)
• Familiarity with data formats such as JSON, CSV, XML
• Basic knowledge of working with databases (relational or NoSQL)
• Good problem-solving skills and a desire to work in a growth-oriented product team
• Good German and English skills, both spoken and written

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience with data processing libraries such as Pandas, NumPy etc.
• Experience with automation, data pipelines, ETL processes
• Knowledge of cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure or comparable)
• Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD, testing frameworks
• Interest in text automation, semantic data / ontologies etc.

100% Remote Work

• Time sovereignty: You fundamentally plan your work & time yourself, but it must harmonize with collaboration with clients and colleagues (time windows, based on experience, Mon-Fri 7 AM - 6 PM)

Framework Conditions & Compensation

• Working hours: by agreement, ideally around 20 hours per week, with potential for growth.
• Compensation: depends on experience and qualifications, a fair solution will be found together
