Junior Mergers & Acquisitions Advisor

Are you the sunshine in the house? And do you already have an affinity with the world of business acquisitions?

Then keep reading! We are looking for a junior mergers and acquisitions advisor. You will be responsible – together with a senior colleague – for the entire acquisition process of SME companies.

What are your tasks?

• You draft and review anonymous acquisition profiles and information memoranda

• You speak with interested parties, after they have been qualified by your colleagues

• You conduct negotiation talks with interested parties

• You close the deal and guide the Letter of Intent (LOI) process

• You maintain close contact with your client (the entrepreneur selling their company). They will feel that you are on their side.

We have specialists in every area of the business acquisition process; valuations, legal settlements, and informing interested parties. This is all arranged, so you don't have to do everything yourself. Even though this is not part of your responsibilities, you will be involved in all of it. We work as a team. If you have experience and interest in these areas, we can expand your responsibilities accordingly.

Who is our ideal candidate?

• You have an affinity with acquisition processes

• You communicate naturally and informally with various parties

• You have an affinity for numbers and are comfortable with annual reports and financial statements

• You enjoy putting yourself in the shoes of SME entrepreneurs from various sectors and of all levels

• You are persuasive and will challenge your client when necessary

• You have a winning mentality and are willing to go the extra mile

• You can easily switch between cases: with a full-time contract, you typically work on 10-15 cases simultaneously

Important to know: for this position, we are looking for someone to be employed. In return, you will receive all the responsibilities and benefits that come with entrepreneurship. Fundamentally, we do not have a program for becoming a co-owner. If, together, after years of proven suitability, we find that this is the right direction, it can still happen. However, this is not the initial goal upon entering employment.

• You have completed at least a Bachelor's degree (the field is not that important)

• Positivity and a drive to win

• You take initiative independently, but collaboration is just as important to you

• You enjoy interacting with many different entrepreneurs in an informal way

• You are empathetic and engaging

• You don't suffer from stage fright

• You are able to work at our office in Bergen op Zoom at least 2 days per week
