Junior Accountant/Buchhalter (m/w/d)

Full Time Lead

Job description

We are looking for a junior accountant to join our established private investment company and family office with a long-term investment approach.

In the past, we have successfully worked with external partners in accounting – today, we rely fully on internal expertise. To achieve this, we have already built an effective but deliberately lean team in the area of Accounting & Controlling. Now, we are looking for you as a junior accountant to further strengthen our team.

In your role, you will work closely with our Team Leader (Head of Accounting) and an experienced accounting manager together. You will be responsible for managing the financial affairs and cash flow of our holding company and several affiliated companies.

You will regularly exchange information with our management, tax consultants, auditors, and lawyers.

The position requires a high level of trust, as you will gain comprehensive insights into the operations of our family office. At the same time, reliability is particularly important, as you will be actively involved in preparing and monitoring larger payment transactions.

You will start with basic accounting tasks and develop further step by step. We place great importance on promoting our team members: You will take over responsibility for specific areas and build a solid foundation of knowledge – often faster than in traditional structures.

Tasks

  • You will take over ongoing financial accounting, e.g., recording invoices and booking account statements
  • You will support cash flow management
  • You will ensure the coordination and maintenance of creditor and debtor data
  • You will organize documents and ensure a structured digital filing system
  • You will work on value-added tax returns
  • You will support preparatory activities for individual and consolidated financial statements

Qualification

  • Interest in long-term cooperation
  • A commercial education or degree with a focus on accounting
  • At least 1 year of experience in accounting, e.g., in an auditing firm or a medium-sized company
  • Ideal experience with DATEV
  • A precise and structured working style with attention to detail
  • Motivation and openness for new tasks
  • Absolute discretion and trustworthiness
  • Very good German language skills and good English language skills
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

Benefits

  • Your own workspace in a small, well-established team
  • An intense on-the-job training
  • Direct communication without unnecessary meetings
  • A competitive salary
  • Flexible and family-friendly working hours
  • A secure workplace – independent of economic fluctuations
  • A modern office in Berlin-Mitte with direct subway access

We look forward to your application!
