Junior Accountant/Assistant Accountant

We are seeking a Junior Accountant with a background in the mining and minerals industry to join our client's dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial principles as well as knowledge of the specific accounting requirements within the mining and minerals sector.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities for mining projects
- Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Assist with tax compliance and audit processes
- Update and maintain financial records and documentation
- Provide support for various accounting tasks as needed

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1-3 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the mining and minerals industry
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software programs
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
