Junior Accountant

Position Summary:

Vinmar International is seeking a Junior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The Junior Accountant will assist various accounting functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, and audits. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for performing the day-to-day accounting activities for the Treasury.
• Expense voucher preparation, payment with necessary approval & reconciliation with system.
• Secures financial information by completing data base backups.
• Provide updates to the financial controller on any problems with payments by doing review in case the payments are rejected and taking necessary corrective action
• Assist with month-end closing and support the Auditors with necessary backups after the Month end close per request.
• Respond to requests, working papers, observations, and/or audit findings.
• Downloading electronic account statements for reconciliation with SAP
• Reviewing and Booking expenses relating to Credit card Payments.
• Downloading Proof of payments for Bank Website for every payment and maintaining the supporting documents for Audit purpose.
• Supporting the financial audit on a monthly and yearly basis as per request from Auditors
• Reconciliation of Bank at month end close, Follow-up on the open items with relevant parties.
• Go getter attitude and ready to extend shift timings as per business requirements.
• Write-off accrual and clearing for invoices received.
• Reviewing the Intercompany differences, adjusting entries wherever required

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1-4 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Advanced business conversational English (Accounting terms)
