Journeyperson Powerline Technician

We are currently seeking Journeyperson Powerline Technicians (PLT) to join our growing team to support a multi year Distribution project in Central Ontario. Reporting to the Construction Foreman, PLT's are responsible for construction of overhead and underground electrical power distribution systems. This is a hands-on leadership role where your technical ability, mentoring capacity, and commitment to safety will directly support our operations and team culture. Please Note: This position is based in Ontario and all applicants must reside in Canada to be considered. What you will do: * Install, maintain, and repair overhead and underground power lines. * Perform pole climbing and work aloft. * Operate and maintain a variety of tools and equipment, including bucket trucks, digger derricks, and cable plows. * Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders. * Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures. * Lead and mentor apprentice technicians. * Work collaboratively with other team members. * Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues. * Participate in on-call rotations as required. What you will bring: * Journeyperson Powerline Technician certification. * Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. * Proven experience in overhead and underground power line construction and maintenance. * Strong understanding of electrical systems and safety procedures. * Ability to read and interpret technical documents. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Physical ability to perform the duties of the position. * Experience with bucket trucks, digger derricks, and cable plows.
