Transportation Manager

Objective of the Position Plan, coordinate and supervise transportation operations to ensure efficient, safe, and timely movement of goods, optimizing resources, complying with regulations, and ensuring high levels of service to customers. Functions and Responsibilities Plan and coordinate routes, assignment of units, and travel programming. Supervise daily operations in the transportation area, ensuring compliance with itineraries and deliveries. Administer logistics, manage inventory, and maintain accurate records. Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of transportation services. Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment. Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement. Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork, open communication, and continuous learning. Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure successful execution of tasks. Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to ensure effective resource allocation. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Coordinate with external partners and vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and services. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure progress towards goals. Provide regular updates to management and stakeholders on transportation operations and performance metrics.
