• Optimize Jobs for performance (lookup caching, bulk components, parallelization, commit strategies, OnSubjobOk/OnComponentOk orchestration).
• Configure Talend Management Console (TMC): environments (dev/test/prod), workspaces, roles, and permissions.
• Manage engines (Cloud/Remote) and Runtimes; schedule tasks, set execution parameters, and handle logs.
• Monitor executions, handle failures/retries, and maintain lifecycle (deploy, promote, rollback).
• Design star/snowflake dimensional models, conformed dimensions, and fact tables.
• Use appropriate storage tech (e.g., Azure SQL, Synapse, Snowflake, or on-prem DBs) with partitioning/indexing.
• Maintain data dictionaries and mapping specifications; align with BI/analytics needs.
• Apply RBAC across Talend Cloud (TMC), secure credentials via context variables/vaults.
• Enforce encryption in transit/at rest, masking, and role/row-level controls in target systems.
• Document policies and audit trails; support compliance reporting and access reviews.
• Set up alerts for failed tasks, SLA breaches, and data freshness; analyze logs for root causes.
• Optimize runtime costs (scheduling windows, engine sizing, caching strategies).
• Periodic usage reviews; recommend right-sizing and lifecycle policies.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience with hands-on Talend implementations (Studio + Cloud).
• Proficiency in
o SQL (joins, window functions, aggregates, basic tuning)
o Python (scripting/utilities; helpful for custom steps or API integration)
• Experience with:
o Talend Studio (Integration): Job design, Joblets, contexts, tMap, tREST/tJSON, CDC/SCD patterns.
o Talend Cloud Admin (TMC): environments, roles, engines, scheduling, monitoring.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD (Azure DevOps/GitHub), and security best practices.
• Hands-on experience in data modeling, indexing, and query performance tuning.
• Proficiency in vulnerability management across platforms (Windows, Linux, Network devices etc.)
• Working knowledge of firewalls, network and server security, SSL certificates and security best practices.
• Certifications (Preferred):
o Talend Data Integration Certified Developer
• Experience with Microsoft 365 administration (e.g., Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams).
