We’re looking for an accomplished Java Engineering Lead to spearhead the design and optimisation of ultra-low-latency trading systems . This is not an ivory-tower leadership role — you will be deeply hands-on , writing high-performance code, guiding architectural decisions, and leading a team of exceptional engineers building systems measured in microseconds. As a Java Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for: • Designing and implementing ultra-low-latency trading systems that meet the company’s high-performance requirements. • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize technical initiatives that drive business value. • Mentoring and guiding a team of engineers to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver high-quality solutions. • Staying up-to-date with the latest developments in Java and related technologies, and applying this knowledge to improve the company’s systems and processes. • Participating in code reviews and ensuring that all code is of the highest quality and meets the company’s coding standards. • Working closely with the company’s technical leadership to develop and implement technical strategies that align with the company’s overall business objectives. • Providing technical guidance and support to other teams and departments within the company. • Identifying and mitigating technical risks, and developing contingency plans to ensure business continuity. • Developing and maintaining technical documentation, including code comments, API documentation, and technical guides. • Participating in the company’s technical community, sharing knowledge and expertise with colleagues, and staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices.
