We are looking for a senior Java developer for a digitalization project that involves the integration of a new Policy & Billing system and the implementation of a self-service portal for customers, which is connected to AWS cloud backends via REST APIs.

Your tasks

• Set up cloud instances and develop requirements, including quality assurance and training for developers.

• Design, develop, and integrate applications and services in various projects according to requirements and coding guidelines.

• Define and implement API specifications

• Ensure the functionality and quality of software through unit and integration tests as well as end-to-end tests.

• Identify gaps in test sets and close them as necessary.

• Identify necessary adjustments to system-wide documentation, for example, data processing concepts.

• Provide knowledge transfer within the team.

• Support and train junior developers

• Encourage others to complete tasks and write high-quality code.

• Work in an agile environment within a Scrum team.

Must-Requirements

• More than 5 years of professional experience as an application developer.

• Expert knowledge in Java, Spring Boot, and AWS Lambda.

• Knowledge of REST and other API technologies

• Advanced level of cloud architecture expertise

• Advanced knowledge in software testing, including unit tests and test automation.

• Excellent communication skills in German, both verbally and written.

Can-Requirements

• Practical experience with agile frameworks like Scrum or Kanban.

• Expertise in handling version control software

• Experience working with JIRA and Confluence for project documentation and tracking

• Language proficiency in English and German

• Experience supporting and training junior developers

• Experience in international cooperation with mother companies.

• Familiarity with insurance-related systems and digitalization projects

Further Information

The project requires a 30% on-site presence in the Teltow/Berlin area. The initial assignment is scheduled from February 2026 to August 2026.
