Lawnkeeper

The incumbent of this position is responsible for maintaining gardens and green areas, using necessary techniques, equipment, and materials, to ensure that these zones look exceptional, contributing to Esperanza being appreciated as a unique luxury property.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain daily the lawn and gardens free of trash and leaf litter. They must always be clean.
• Keep plants in good condition, looking healthy, lush, and with the right color.
• Keep gardens, paths, and walkways free of grass.
• Maintain well-developed covers, prevent them from invading walkways or borders.
• Maintain trimmed and at the appropriate height hedges and covers according to the established design.
• The waste from pruning must be outside the guest's view and relocate it to the designated site for final collection.
• Compliance with gardening programs, taking care of detail and fine presentation, so that gardens stand out in their design, interest, and execution.
• Monitor plants to prevent or control pests, reporting incidents to your immediate supervisor.
• Carry out optimal watering according to each species' needs, adjusting the angle of the nozzles, as well as supporting filter cleaning and/or nozzle replacement, to ensure proper water supply. Notify your direct supervisor when treated water is not suitable (odor, excess chlorine, impurities).
• Operate motorized equipment respecting guests' tranquility (preferably after 9:00 a.m.)
• Use tools and work equipment properly.
• Prioritize accident prevention at all times, prioritizing your integrity, safety, and guest comfort,
• Use safety equipment (glasses, gloves, belt, earplugs, mask, etc., as well as authorized signs when performing your duties require it.
• Show a service attitude and be available to help colleagues.
• Clean deeply once a week.
• Mow lawn according to cutting programs and your immediate supervisor's instructions.
• Maintain gravel coverings in landscaped areas that contain or add new gravel if necessary.
• Prune foliage, branches, or fruits from trees, on scheduled dates, maintaining harmonious shape and allowing visibility or, in the case of privacy for the guest.
• Cut palm leaves, floral clusters, fruit, or bark that reach with the extension saw and collect all waste resulting from pruning.
• Support leaf and trash removal when the palm tree pruner at heights requires it, as well as assist with securing and/or relocating the ladder when needed.
• Fertilize according to the program, using the product indicated. Or in its case, verify that adequate fertilization is performed by external personnel.
• Attend training sessions and actively participate in them.
• In the event of system repair requirements, assist with vegetation removal, excavation, soil movement or whatever is necessary for the corresponding repair to be made by the designated technician.
• Replace species when required (dead, sick, design change or special request).
• Place ornamental planters and provide maintenance (painting and waterproofing) according to design, request, or need of each location.
• Prior preparation of spaces before and after events to maintain garden quality.
