Job description

Job Summary: The IT/OT Engineer will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and improving automated and computerized systems within production and packaging operations. This includes managing inspection and serialization systems, ensuring system reliability, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The role also requires active participation in safety, compliance, and cross-functional projects while ensuring alignment with site and corporate standards. Key Responsibilities: Demonstrate expertise in supporting, troubleshooting, and maintaining IT/OT infrastructure and applications, including: Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), and associated hardware and software. Maintain and support inspection and serialization systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Proactively monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and implement preventive measures to ensure system reliability and uptime. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives that optimize efficiency, quality, and safety within production and packaging operations. Develop and maintain documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), system configurations, and troubleshooting guides. Participate in the development and execution of IT/OT projects, including system upgrades, new implementations, and integrations. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices. Provide technical support and training to end-users on IT/OT systems and applications. Stay up-to-date with the latest IT/OT technologies and trends, and recommend solutions to improve system performance and efficiency. Support the development and implementation of cybersecurity measures to protect IT/OT systems and data. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in an IT/OT engineering role within a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of IT/OT systems and architectures, including MES, PLCs, SCADA, and HMIs. Experience with inspection and serialization systems. Experience with network infrastructure and protocols. Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational and time management skills. Experience with GMP and 21 CFR Part 11 regulations preferred. Experience with automation systems (e.g., Rockwell Automation, Siemens). Experience with data historians (e.g., OSIsoft PI).
