IT Technician

One of the largest corporate-owned auto parts retailer and wholesaler in Southern Africa is seeking an IT Technician who will provide comprehensive hands-on and telephonic IT support, hardware repairs, and system troubleshooting. Responsibilities: Hardware & OS Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux/Ubuntu PCs, laptops, and peripheral hardware across all branches. Printer Management: Install, configure, and calibrate business printers; manage and maintain the branch loadable printer fleet. Network Support: Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues for all users. IT Asset Management: Track and record all IT assets including computers, printers, and other equipment. Help Desk Support: Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person. Escalation: Escalate complex technical issues to senior technicians or third-party vendors as necessary. Requirements: 3+ years of experience in IT support; CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent; Strong understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems; Familiarity with printer management software; Ability to work independently and as part of a team; Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
