IT System Administrator (m/f/d)

HovisIT Solutions GmbH supports small and medium-sized businesses with their IT needs – from workstations and Microsoft 365 to networks and IT security, as well as servers and managed services. Behind HovisIT, it's currently primarily me personally. For the continued support of my clients, I am looking for an IT System Administrator (m/f/d) who will work with me reliably in the long term.

You don't need to know every system yet. What's important to me are solid IT fundamentals, technical understanding, and the willingness to learn new topics. Your task is not to overhaul operations or develop new concepts for my way of working. You should think along, find solutions independently, and reliably complete your tasks within the existing processes.

Your daily work consists of support, administration, and technical projects. Much can be done remotely or from home, but for other tasks, you will be directly on-site with the client. An office in Hamburg is available as a workspace.

Tasks

• 1st and 2nd level support via remote maintenance, telephone, and on-site
• Setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IT hardware
• Administration of Windows Server, AD, GPO, Microsoft 365, Exchange, and Entra ID
• Setup and support of networks, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, WLAN
• Support of backup, monitoring, RMM, and endpoint security solutions in the MSP environment
• Installation and commissioning of server, network, and workstation solutions
• Processing and traceable documentation of completed work

Qualifications

• A completed IT apprenticeship is advantageous, but not a must; career starters and career changers with good practical IT skills are also welcome
• You have solid Windows knowledge and are familiar with the basics of networks, IP, DNS, and DHCP
• You should have initial knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows Server, or comparable IT infrastructures
• Experience with an IT service provider or with managed services is advantageous, but not a prerequisite
• You work reliably, carefully, and independently, think along with problems, and look for pragmatic solutions
• You interact with customers in a friendly and patient manner, remain calm during disruptions, and possess a Class B driver's license

• €40,000–€60,000 annual gross salary, depending on experience and qualifications
