Job description

Happy to Meet You:

We are a Hamburg-based family business in the 2nd generation!

Stuffy? Quite the opposite – we are bold and dynamic, young and experienced (some have been part of the crew ⛵️ for over 25 years), familial and appreciative in our interactions – humor, curiosity, and drive are naturally on board with us (in everyday work life).

💙 What We Love Doing:

For 40 years, we have been developing digital solutions for legal departments – from medium-sized businesses to international corporations like Lufthansa or Haribo – with us, they can achieve more from their legal data treasure 🚀 with AI and, above all, keep an overview of all the important matters they are responsible for!

🏆 We are the market leader in Germany. Our recipe for success? Continuity, competence, and trusting, collaborative, and long-term collaboration with our customers.

Tasks

  • Network and Infrastructure Management: You will manage our internal network and server infrastructure and ensure its reliable operation.

  • Server Administration: You will maintain and update our Linux and Windows systems, keeping an eye on operating system versions, support periods, and necessary migrations.

  • Maintenance and Lifecycle Planning: You will plan necessary updates and renewals in advance and coordinate their implementation.

  • IT Security: You will monitor the security status of our internal IT, identify areas requiring action, and coordinate or implement appropriate protective measures.

  • Vulnerability Management: You will organize regular security and vulnerability scans, evaluate the results, and coordinate necessary measures.

  • Backup, Monitoring, and Availability: You will maintain backup and maintenance concepts, keep an eye on technical monitoring, and ensure that anomalies and necessary actions are tracked.

  • Cloud and Hosting Infrastructure: You will administer our systems with external hosting and cloud providers (e.g., IONOS, Yellowhost, and Portrix). This includes system administration as well as access and permissions, domains/DNS, certificates, backups, and monitoring, as well as ongoing evaluation of the systems operated there.

  • Cloud Development and Migration: You will examine where standardized cloud environments and cloud services can meaningfully replace or simplify existing systems, evaluate these possibilities technically and economically, and prepare or accompany migrations.

  • User and Permission Management: You will administer user accounts, groups, roles, and permissions for our internal systems and support the further centralization of user management via SSO.

  • License and System Management: You will manage software licenses, technical accounts, certificates, domains, and other resources relevant to IT operations.

  • Inventory and Documentation: You will keep our documentation for servers, network components, operating systems, licenses, ports, and other IT infrastructure up-to-date.

  • ISO 27001 and Information Security: You will contribute to the creation, maintenance, and further development of the ISO 27001 documentation relevant to our internal IT and ensure that technical and organizational measures are comprehensibly documented.

  • Audits and Quality Management: You will prepare technical information for internal and external audits, assist with audits, and follow up on resulting measures.

  • IT Budget and Procurement: You will jointly plan the needs and budget for internal IT with management, obtain quotes, and coordinate the procurement or renewal of hardware, software, licenses, and maintenance contracts.

  • Forward-Looking Development: You will monitor the state of our IT landscape and independently propose improvements regarding security, maintainability, standardization, and cost-effectiveness.

What is important to us in this role

You should understand internal IT as your own area of responsibility, identify technical and organizational risks, and actively drive necessary measures forward.

In doing so, you will work closely with development, management, and other internal contacts. Fundamental decisions or major investments will be coordinated jointly; you will independently organize ongoing operations, documentation, and the preparation of necessary measures.

Benefits

  • Appreciation – An appreciative attitude and considerate behavior are our top priorities.

  • Team Cohesion – Areas of responsibility are assigned based on strengths so that we can collectively unfold our true potential as a team.

  • Flat Hierarchies & Scope for Design – Your ideas count: short decision-making paths, regular further training, and space for personal development and responsibility.

  • Flexible & Mobile Working – Shape your workday independently.

  • Beautiful Office in Eppendorf – Modern equipment and excellent connectivity.

  • Happy Office Vibes – Weekly team lunches, joint events, great atmosphere, and plenty of coffee.

  • Commuting Allowance – We support your mobility with a subsidy for your travel expenses.

We look forward to receiving your application!
