IT-System Administrator / System Administrator (m/w/d) | Windows Server | VMware | Network | IT Infrastructure

We are looking for an experienced IT-System Administrator (m/w/d) to strengthen our team for on-premise infrastructures. In this position, you will be responsible for the operation, administration, and further development of our local server-, network-, and virtualization environments.

Tasks

• Administration, maintenance, and further development of the on-premise IT infrastructure
• Operation and maintenance of Windows Server environments
• Management of Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPO), DNS/DHCP
• Administration and monitoring of VMware vSphere / ESXi environments
• Maintenance of storage-, backup-, and recovery systems
• Configuration and management of network components (switches, firewalls, VLANs)
• Carrying out updates, patches, and security measures
• Analyzing and resolving issues in 2nd- and 3rd-level support
• Documented IT system landscape and operational processes
• Collaboration on IT projects for modernization and optimization of the infrastructure
• Implementation of measures in the area of IT security and Cyber Security

Qualification

• Completed training as a Fachinformatiker Systemintegration, IT-System Administrator, or comparable qualification
• Multiple years of professional experience in system administration
• Very good knowledge in:
  Microsoft Windows Server (2016/2019/2022)
  Active Directory
  VMware vSphere / ESXi
  Microsoft Exchange (on-premise or hybrid)
  Backup solutions (e.g. Veeam)
  Network administration (TCP/IP, VLAN, routing, firewall)
  Experience with PowerShell scripting is advantageous
  Knowledge in IT security, monitoring, and incident management
