The XIAO Group is a medium-sized, owner-managed group of companies in real estate and gastronomy, headquartered in Gelsenkirchen and Leverkusen. Our real estate portfolio is continuously growing through the development of new construction projects and targeted acquisitions. It exclusively comprises commercial properties in NRW, which are built not only for gastronomy but also for multi-story office, fitness, and other commercial uses.

Every year, we welcome approximately 2 million guests to our XIAO restaurants and achieve a turnover of around 65 million EUR. Our nearly 1,000 employees are driving the expansion in gastronomy with great passion and commitment. We have ambitious future plans and want to continue the strong growth of recent years by aiming to double our gastronomy turnover over the next three years and to realize investments primarily in real estate amounting to 40 million EUR.

To implement our ambitious growth goals and further expand our IT department, we are looking for an IT System Administrator / Deputy Head of IT Department (m/f/d) in full-time or part-time as soon as possible.

Your Role with Us:

As an IT System Administrator / Deputy Head of IT Department (m/f/d), you will take on a versatile key role in our IT team. Together with the Head of IT Department, you will ensure the stable, secure, and future-proof operation of our IT infrastructure and represent them in their absence, both technically and organizationally. You will work in a generalist capacity across various IT topics, coordinate operational tasks, and actively shape the further development of our systems and processes. This position does not involve disciplinary personnel responsibility.

Your Tasks:

• You will administer, support, and further develop our IT infrastructure in the gastronomic operations and administrative units, including network, cloud, and workstation environments.

• Together with the Head of IT Department, you will ensure the secure, stable, and available operation of the IT systems and ensure traceable documentation.

• In the absence of the Head of IT Department, you will assume technical and organizational representation and coordinate ongoing tasks, priorities, and external service providers.

• You will support our network environment based on Ubiquiti UniFi as well as firewalls, internet connections, and cross-site IT components.

• You will support our client and workstation systems running Windows and macOS, application software, communication solutions, as well as notebooks, smartphones, and tablets.

• You will administer user accounts, permissions, end devices, and access in our cloud-based IT systems and support the maintenance of our Microsoft 365 environment.

• You will manage the provision of all IT equipment from planning and procurement through setup to handover and documented return.

• You will analyze and resolve malfunctions, perform maintenance and optimizations, and develop sustainable solutions for recurring technical problems.

• You will ensure the stability of our operational systems, especially point-of-sale, payment, booking, reservation, and ordering systems, and support their introduction and further development.

• You will participate in IT projects, digitization, AI, and automation initiatives and contribute your own suggestions for improvement.

• You will support and train employees on technical systems and software solutions and act as a service-oriented point of contact for specialist departments and restaurants.

• You will coordinate external IT service providers as needed and will occasionally be present at our other locations in NRW.

• You have completed vocational training as an IT Specialist for System Integration, a degree in IT, or a comparable qualification.

• You have several years of professional experience in system administration and are comfortable in a generalist IT role with a broad range of responsibilities.

• You possess good knowledge in the areas of network administration, IT security, firewalls, endpoint device management, as well as Windows and ideally macOS environments.

• Experience with Microsoft 365, such as Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Intune, or Defender, is advantageous but not a prerequisite for specialization.

• You work independently, in a structured and solution-oriented manner, set meaningful priorities, and maintain an overview even with parallel demands.

• You are happy to take responsibility, can coordinate tasks and service providers, and present yourself convincingly and professionally to various stakeholders.

• You are characterized by team spirit, strong service orientation, and clear, audience-appropriate communication.

• You are willing to participate in a regulated on-call service and to undertake occasional business trips to our operations as needed.

• You possess a driver's license of class B.
