IT System Administrator (m/f/d) - Full-time | Munich | Public Service

On behalf of our partner company in Munich, we are looking for you as a "IT System Administrator (m/f/d)" as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

  • As an IT System Administrator (m/f/d), you will operate, maintain, and optimize Linux and Windows servers as well as Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP
  • You will also administer VMware vSphere environments, storage systems, and backup and disaster recovery solutions with Veeam
  • Furthermore, you will configure and monitor LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN infrastructures as well as firewalls and network components
  • Additionally, you will ensure the availability and security of the IT infrastructure through monitoring, patch management, error analysis, and appropriate security measures
  • In doing so, you will improve and standardize IT processes, maintain technical documentation, and manage software licenses

Qualifications

  • The basis for this role is a completed apprenticeship as a specialist in system integration (m/f/d), IT system electronics technician (m/f/d), or a degree in computer science
  • Ideally, you have several years of professional experience as an IT System Administrator (m/f/d), System Administrator (m/f/d), or Network Administrator (m/f/d)
  • You have sound practical experience with Linux and Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware vSphere, as well as storage and backup solutions
  • Additionally, knowledge of network administration, firewalls, VPN, WLAN, as well as container and cloud technologies like Kubernetes is desirable
  • Your structured and solution-oriented approach, initiative, and team spirit, as well as fluent German and English skills, are important
