IT System Administrator (m/f/d) for Linux
Job description
Your area of responsibility includes
- Provisioning and maintenance of our server landscape as well as workstations (hardware and software)
- Acceptance, qualification, and documentation of support requests as well as independent processing and follow-up of tickets
- Ensuring ongoing operation as well as further development of existing systems and guaranteeing the functionality of the applications
- Planning, configuration, and maintenance of internal networks
- Creation, management, and maintenance of user accounts and permissions in various systems
- Analysis and resolution of faults as well as sustainable root cause analysis
- Close cooperation with the Information Security Officer to implement and continuously improve security policies
Your profile
- You have successfully completed vocational training as an IT specialist for system integration (m/f/d)
- You have good German and English skills
- You have several years of experience in Linux administration (ideally in production environments)
- You are proficient in using the Atlassian Suite (especially Jira and Confluence)
- You have practical knowledge in automation and configuration management with tools like Ansible and Terraform
- You possess the ability to design, build, and operate physical and virtual IT infrastructures
- You have in-depth knowledge in the areas of servers, networks, storage, and IT security
- You have in-depth knowledge of various operating systems (e.g., Linux, Windows) as well as common software applications
- Desirable:
- You have an interest and ideally initial experience in the DevOps environment (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, Git, automation of deployments and infrastructure)
- You are enthusiastic about topics related to Cyber Security and Information Security
- You have basic knowledge in the area of data protection and are familiar with the relevant guidelines and regulations (e.g., GDPR)
